Since 2024, Mr. Pinstripes has established himself as a standout blues discovery on the Montreal scene. A virtuoso guitarist and rising figure in the genre, the artist is already generating enthusiasm and recognition among many well-established musicians. Driven by an authentic yet contemporary approach, Mr. Pinstripes stands out through his emotionally charged original compositions, explosive guitar playing, and captivating stage presence.

The band's foundation was built when Mathias Dallaire A.K.A. Mr. Pinstripes (guitar/vocals), Elvis Wu (drums), and Will Shaw (bass) met during local jam sessions and immediately found a shared musical language. They were later joined by Théo Bedez (guitar), former member of the French band 58 Shots, as well as Juan Bautista (keyboard), lead singer and accordionist of the Montreal-based Colombian group ACPM Vallenato. Together, this quintet delivers a rich blend of influences and textures, expanding the band’s sonic palette while staying true to the raw spirit of the blues.

In 2025 alone, Mr. Pinstripes performed over 40 shows, solidifying his reputation as a charismatic and crowd-unifying live act. The group also completed a first Ontario-Quebec tour as the opening act for the band Honeybear (British Columbia), with four sold-out shows in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Kingston. Through intense performances, Mr. Pinstripes continues to confirm his place among the blues artists to watch on the Canadian scene.
